Answering the Call to Leadership: Wyatt Gibson Earns Statewide 911 Recognition

Iredell County Emergency Communications (ECOM) is celebrating a professional achievement by one of its own as 911 GIS Systems Specialist Wyatt Gibson was recognized by the North Carolina 911 Board for successfully completing the 2025 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Manager Course.

Gibson was recognized Friday, Aug. 28, during the North Carolina 911 Board meeting in Raleigh, where 911 professionals from across the state gathered for the NC911 Directors meeting and board meeting. Gibson was presented with his certification by NC911 Executive Director Pokey Harris and representatives of Richmond Community College, which provides the PSAP Manager Course.

The rigorous course is designed to strengthen the knowledge and leadership skills needed to effectively manage public safety communications operations. Successfully completing the program represents a significant professional milestone for Gibson and reflects his commitment to continued growth in the field of emergency communications.
